morality matters in the gambia

In the summer of 2026, Morality Matters founder Asmi Aggarwal was invited by Full-Circle Learning to bring her ethics and character education curriculum to The Gambia. Over the course of approximately one month, she taught at two elementary schools, reaching around 50 students through lessons that encouraged kindness, ethical reflection, and thoughtful decision-making.

Asmi also distributed free copies of her book, Morals from Kids from A–Z, so students could continue exploring these ideas beyond the classroom. Through classroom discussions and activities, students explored how kindness and thoughtful decision-making can shape their communities, reflecting Morality Matters' commitment to making ethical reflection accessible to young people.

As part of the experience, Asmi also participated in a cultural exchange with Girls United, connecting with approximately 30 Gambian girls aged 15–22 through roundtable discussions on topics including education, healthcare, and feminism. The exchange also created opportunities to share music and other aspects of each other’s cultures, fostering conversations and connections across different experiences.
